These demos are designed to highlight key features of PP4TM using real world datasets.
Dataset osm_gpx_traces demo
The osm_gpx_traces dataset was derived from anonymized user GPS trace files from all around Europe (copyright: OpenStreetMap contributors). This demonstration depicts the performance of PP4TM when handling hundreds of millions of database rows, in tasks such as 1) geospatial search, based on a rectangular area and 2) composing map traces from individual points using column grouping.
The makios dataset is a contribution of "MAKIOS LOGISTICS", a leading logistics service provider in Greece. It contains freight traffic data for some of the most popular road segments in the city of Thessaloniki. This demonstration depicts the performance and versatility of PP4TM in aggregating temporal data.
The bus_stops dataset was derived from GPS and time data provided by the bus service of West Midlands. This demonstration depicts the performance of PP4TM in aggregating geospatial and temporal data. By zooming-in the map you may select a starting bus stop. Then you can search for all interconnected destination bus stops. By also selecting a destination bus stop, the system computes the average journey time and average delay, based on historical data.
